Annie Bacon is a mother, writer, and songwriter living in Michigan whose work orbits around empathy. With her OSHEN - (a rotating cast of stellar musicians currently including Cat Crocetto, Michael Robertson, Mark Hugger, and Chris Ranney) - she merges literary writing with a folk-rock Americana sound to create rich and emotionally complex music that grips the ear and heart. Comparisons to Fleetwood Mac are frequent.  2024's Storm was praised as "a landmark release" (Glide), and "brilliant nostalgic elegance" (The Wild Is Calling). Her songs have been featured in films, and have earned nominations from Independent Music Awards (Finalist/Americana), Great River Folk Festival (Runner-Up), the Acorn Song Contest, and International Songwriting Competition (Semifinalist x2). She was a 2026 Good Hart Artist in Residence.

She is also the sole proprietor of the electro-folk project Ma Reilly,  a part of the Badass Women Band (with Annie Capps, Anne Heaton and others),  works in the long form on musicals and novels, has been a music journalist, run the SF and SE Michigan Chapters of the Nashville Songwriters Association, and is a founding host of the North Star Lounge Community Open Mic.
